Deliverables

  • Demonstrator: As a final step in this project I have further developed the previos video material to demonstrate what the concept is and how it's meant to work in a real life scenario for the intended target group. I've used relevant parts of the split-screen video material from the prevoius sprint, as well as recorded user tests as examples of how the creation behaves in real settings. My goal with this extended video was that the concept should be understood by someone who has not been in contact with this project before.
  • Retroperspective reflection: Through a retrospective reflection I do feel like the right design concept was chosen out of the two that I initially came up with, and that I followed through the design work to a stage where the prototype is mature enough to be handed over to developers and could be shown to investors. I do consider my concept pretty unique considering the design brief we had to work with and I do try to push the boundaries sometimes to look at problems from a different point of view. I would however say that my connection to climate change is questionable at times in this concept and that there are still significant ethical dilemmas that would stop this concept from being realeased in most countries.
  • Considering my previous inexperience working with AR and 3D, a lot of my energy and focus was spend on learning how to navigate the new tools that were used rather than diging deeper into the problem solution thinking. To create the design in these tools was far from easy, and if I would continue working with this project I would wish to create my own 3D animations to make it more impactful and polished. I would also spand a lot more time on micro-intereaction and interaction design. The animations glitch sometimes and I would like the user experience to be flawless for the future.
  • If the project were to continue into development and further iterations I would also suggest the development of a native app, that's what I believe this target group with utilise the most. I do however really appreciate the option that Spark AR gives in terms of a sharable link to Instagram and Facebook, I think the more social networks that could share the link to this concept the more people it would reach which would make it more successful in the end.
